We have acasualwork opportunity for you to join the Auckland DHB as an Occupational Therapist within our community mental health services (Community Mental Health Centre, Assertive Community Outreach Service, Kari Centre, Taylor Centre, St Lukes, Regional Youth Forensic Service, Regional Eating Disorder Service and Mental Health Service for Older People)
Mental Health Services aim to provide a quality mental health service to our service users and their whanau. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role for an allocated caseload within a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, cultural and community support workers who share the same passion for supporting tangata whaiora on their recovery pathway.
The team here provide a range of assessment and recovery focused treatment options with a strong multi-disciplinary focus in collaboration with service users, their whanau, local communities and social services.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Have minimum of two years Occupational Therapist experience within the mental health setting
Be a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
Develop positive working relationships with service users, identify and seek to meet their needs treating them respectfully and as a first priority
Collaborate with fellow team members and other work groups to achieve effective service user outcomes
