We are a busy secondary care maternity unit, overseeing 1250 births per annum, with a full range of secondary obstetric services.
We provide a supportive medical team and colleagues in a friendly hospital that is big enough to offer clinical variety but small enough to provide great team relationships.
This is an opportunity to combine job satisfaction with enjoyable lifestyle options in one of New Zealand's prime tourist areas.You will be responsible for:Provision of clinical midwifery services in accordance with the Midwifery Council scope of practiseProvision of primary and secondary maternity services as part of our inter-disciplinary clinical teamsBeing committed to maintaining clinical skills in accordance with organisational best practice guidelinesBeing committed to continuous quality improvement activitiesDue to this position having contact with children and Te Whatu Ora's commitment to child protection, you will be subject to 'safety checks' under the Children's Act at the time of hire and thereafter as per the relevant legislation.The successful applicant will have:Current New Zealand Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate Midwifery CertificateRecent clinical experience in midwifery practiceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all stakeholdersCommitment to being a team playerAwhe utu / Salary rangeSalary range: $79,261 to $108,008 pro rated to hours workedHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand.
