Nga mohiohio e pa ana ki tenei mahi (About this position)
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a regional service for children and youth with serious mental health disorders up to aged 18 years. Our disciplinary team is made up of psychiatrists, mental health nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists and social workers, all trained in a range of treatment modalities.
An important aspect to this role is inter-agency work; including working with community services such as Oranga Tamariki, schools, GPs and local Maori networks.
Ko wai he kaitono totika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
We are looking to appoint an allied health professional or registered nurse, with at least 2-years’ experience within a CAMHS or acute mental health setting to this permanent full-time role. You will be experienced in working with young people and you will be up to date with current research findings relating to major mental health issues and trends in child and adolescent mental health service delivery. You will also have a background in delivering comprehensive assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and youth.
You will be the type of person who fits into a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines and will engender confidence, trust and rapport with clients, their support networks and other agencies and service providers.
