Police is the government's largest front-line response agency with around 15,000 staff in large and small communities all over New Zealand and in liaison and policing development roles overseas.
We have an opportunity for someone to join our close-knit and high performing Case Management Team based at Wellington Central Station.
This is an essential role supporting the investigation of offences in the Wellington District.
You will be working in a varied role, supporting the Investigation Support Unit by producing products using CCTV to identify suspects and assessing cases for investigation purposes.
This well-respected and supportive team work closely with internal and external stakeholders, delivering a positive, responsive and timely service.
At times the role also involves liaising with victims including banks and shop owners for gaining CCTV evidence and other required paperwork.
It is a role which will build your capability around a variety of facets of Our Business.
Key Accountabilities:
* Work productively and contributes as part of a team * Develop and maintain a range of positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders * Manage time effectively with time constraints to complete competing demands and expectations of a wide range of people * Two-way communication with a wide variety of people * Demonstrates a proficiency in the use of computer applications, including Microsoft applications and Acrobat Pro XI * Have a basic understanding of Official Information Act and Privacy Acts.
Prior knowledge and experience in dealing with information collection and disclosure will be an advantage.
* Past working experience in assessing and handling CCTV footage will be preferred

Utu a-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $63,526 and $66,312 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
