Caregiver/Support Worker For 18Yr Old Autistic Boy

We need a special needs caregiver to look after our son in our home after school and some weekends. We have a busy household with three other teenagers on the go.
Our son attends Respite three days a week. His roster allows him two weekends in Respite a month. An example of care hours would be Wednesday and Thursday after school from 3.30 to 8pm when he attends Respite in the weekend and then Saturday 3.30 to 8pm and Sunday 9.30 to 4pm when he is attending Respite during the week.
There is scope for extra hours during the school holidays.
He likes to watch TV and go for walks. We live in Waimauku on a lifestyle block.
You will need a full drivers licence and a vehicle.
You will be responsible for showering, dressing, toileting, feeding and some household duties - like tidying up after him!! We prepare an evening meal each night and you would need to feed him. We provide you with dinner too.
He is an active and happy young man. He is non verbal.
You need to be reliable, friendly, patient, caring, fit and energetic. Have a positive outlook and love working with special needs people.
