We currently have 10 full time positions with Blue Tongue for LV mechanics to work as heavy mobile mechanics for NRW, within both Civil and Mining contracts. Candidates will partake in a 8-10-week intensive training course in Brisbane which will provide you with the hands on heavy repair and hydraulics experience. Training is due to start in October 2019.
This is a unique program and a golden pathway for motivated and experienced car mechanics to achieve their big break in a role that provides practical up-front training and on-going career opportunities with one of Australian's leading Mining Contractors.

Selected employees will be exposed to working on site on various types of repair. Opportunities to work on-site in various parts of WA will open up once you have gained a level of confidence and proficiency.
Successful applications will need to demonstrate:
A certificate 3 in Light Vehicle Mechanic
Previous experience with dealer and/or independent workshops
At least 3 years post trade experience
Strong employment stability
Previous exposure to heavy machinery will highly regarded
Electrical and hydraulic knowledge is highly advantageous
Once you are qualified and have real experience in repairing and diagnosing various parts of mobile machinery, you will be given opportunities to work on-site within Mining or Civil projects. You will be working on a 2/1 roster FIFO from Brisbane to Perth. These positions require you to move to Brisbane QLD Australia.
All applicants will be required to participate in a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening and national police clearance.
