The Electoral Commission is seeking a dynamic Capability and Organisational Development Lead to join our People and Culture team on an 18-month fixed-term contract.Leading a small, dedicated team, you will develop and deliver organisational development strategies that enhance our capabilities and support our strategic goals.You will provide expert advice on our People and Culture priorities, identify organisational needs, and design impactful development programs that align with our business strategy.We offer:A competitive salary range of $124,061 - $137,845.An opportunity to make a significant impact on the Commission's strategic aims and objectives.Key responsibilities:Capability Strategy: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance current practices.Talent Management: Improve performance management, talent management, succession planning, and critical role initiatives.People Strategy: Develop, analyse, monitor, promote, and enable employee learning and development programs.Leadership Framework: Design, develop, and lead the implementation of a comprehensive leadership framework.Engagement & Inclusion: Drive initiatives related to engagement, diversity, equity, inclusion, and addressing pay gaps.Culture Program: Manage the organization's culture program to align with Electoral Commission values.Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.Mohou ake | About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in a Principal capability and organisational development capacity.Proven experience in leading strategy formulation, outcome development, planning, reporting, and analytics.The ability to lead a small team, oversee work, support, mentor, and develop team members.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Experience managing projects with multiple components.Te Kaitiaki Take Kowhiri | About the Electoral CommissionThe Electoral Commission wants every New Zealander to trust, value, and take part in parliamentary elections.Here's your chance to contribute to New Zealand's democracy as part of a small team of electoral experts who design, build, and implement processes and systems for Parliamentary elections and referenda.
