The Café Manager position is responsible for leading the overall operations and performance of the The Hangar, ensuring customer satisfaction as well as maintaining high standards of food, beverages, service and, health and safety. The Café Operations Manager is a ‘hands-on’ position and requires you to be a motivator and mentor who can guide and coach the Front of House Supervisor and Brew Bar Supervisor on budgeting and sales goals, to develop the performance and talent of the Flight Coffee Roasters family.
Key aspects of the role;
· Operations - Maintain the Cafe to a high standard of service and presentation;
· Outstanding Service - Promote service excellence and uphold service standards within the Café at all times
· People Management - Write the rosters and shift planning according to forecast sales, budget and in line with industrial relations requirements;
· Leadership - Provide clear development plans for each Cafe employee promoting retention and employee growth;
· Cost Control - Full accountability for all profit and loss results, effective management of all P&L areas: cost of goods, cost of employment and OPEX;
· Local Area Marketing (LAM) & Business Development - Develop and execute a local business development plan, setting performance targets and objectives with assistance from the Creative Director and GM of Flight Coffee.
You will demonstrate;
· Passion for great coffee and learning more about it;
· Prior management experience in the hospitality industry, ideally within specialty coffee or leading hospitality establishments;
· Experience analyzing financial reports.
· Experience in complex, fast-paced environments
· Prior experience motivating, mentoring and developing high performing talent;
· Proven experience translating brand standards into operational action;
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy;
· Excellent verbal communication and customer service;
· Unlimited work rights
