Reporting to the Temp control manager, you will be responsible for the Buying Programme for the Frozen goods and the management of staff in the Frozen department. This is very rewarding job being part of one ofthe biggest growth areas of the business.
We are currently looking for a confident, self-motivated person with a high attention for detail to join the team based in Mt Roskill.
As our Buyer and Manager for the Frozen department you will be responsible for:
-Manage the Buying Programme for the Frozen department - All stock sourced through approved suppliers, all orders placed to ensure the targeted GP, all orders ontime and all products checked on arrival for quality. Maintain stock levels at optimum level.Manage/ report delivery discrepancies.
Manage all stock control systems and processes. Ordering of product, collecting credit notesManage credits in a timely and tidy fashion to minimise waste and reduce loss. Process all outstanding credits. Follow up unresolved credit issues within 1 week.Control all Costs. Hold suppliers accountable for damaged stock and managing the credit note process.
Verify price integrity of the productsUndertake necessary administrative functions of the role. Complete paperwork audit – ensure all paperwork is up to date.
-Replenishment of the meat and seafood room - including making sure all gaps are filled before they leave and left clean and tidy
Ideal skills for the role include:
-Computer literate – Intermediate level understanding - MicrosoftOffice Suite / SAP (or equivalent ERP)Proven management of staff.Strong communication (verbal and written), relationship management, negotiation and networking skillsThe ability to deal with people of all cultures / races.Strong Relationship Builder, Team Player and Problem Solver.Retail knowledge, Planning and organising & Time Management skills.Physically fit and healthyMust have forklift licence/reach licence.Flexibility to work weekends as well as weekdays as required.
Have a valid work permit or NZ Citizen.
The successful applicant must be extremely reliable and able to work roster Tuesday to Saturday.
