A Government organisation is looking for an experienced Business Support Officer. This is a 3 to 6 months' contract that will change to permanent and it is based in Brisbane CBD.
The role is responsible for providing executive support to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and administrative support to other staff members within their Enterprise Digital Services (EDS) Division.
Responsibilities:
Executive Support:
provide high level, confidential, administrative and operational support to the CIO and other officers within EDS, including diary management, task management, scheduling meetings, and coordination and preparation of meeting documentation, agendas, briefs and presentations
distribute and coordinate feedback on requested or required information on behalf of the CIO.

Administrative support:
arrange appointments or events and provide administrative support for committees, meetings and workshops including catering, materials and information, and providing secretariat support and minute taking
provide daily administrative support and undertake other duties as required, including but not limited to answering telephones, photocopying, scanning, delivery of documents, and maintenance of contact lists
provide logistical support including coordination of facilities and IT related activities (e.g. new starters, movement of staff, issuing of Identification and Access Cards, and network access provisioning), IT service desk requests, and training requests
undertake human resource activities including engaging and organising the induction of new staff, maintaining and updating records and progressing leave requests
undertake financial processing activities including:reconciling corporate cards, processing invoices and managing taxi vouchers
assisting with administering contracts including coordinating payment arrangements with consulting and contracting resources

organise travel, accommodation and business arrangements for staff
purchase operational requirements of including stationery, minor computer hardware, etc
maintain corporate registers including portable and attractive assets, software, staffing information, telephones, including monthly billing and cab charge E-Tickets
employ effective communication skills to liaise professionally with officers and individuals at all levels of the division, the department, other government agencies and private sector and community representatives
coordinate reports including preparation, distribution, and updating
provide project support when required by assisting EDS officers to achieve deadlines and project tasks
research, gather and present information and reference materials from various sources
administer the flow of correspondence across the branch including acting as the central point for the distribution of correspondence and documents, following up on outstanding items, and preparing documents for approval
undertake the Information Controller responsibilities including maintaining EDS teams space and workspaces (i.e. Nexus / SharePoint), work closely with the Information Management team, action queries and requests from EDS staff, create and modify within pages, lists and libraries, inform and direct staff and new starters where to save documents
