About the role
This role is all about ensuring that the business receives the right information, at the right time in a simple, easy to consume format, to enable decision making across the business. The vision of the Information and Insights team at Vector is to deliver a data and analytics platform to support customer journeys, enable staff to make smarter - data driven decisions and ultimately unlock the hidden potential within data.
We want to create a data-driven culture to leverage real-time, actionable insights to continually test, iterate, optimize and discover new opportunities for Vector. Work with the business to identify and manage initiatives and liaise with other teams to see projects through to implementation.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced team member with a real passion for BI. You will have worked as a business intelligence professional, with experience working with business users to understand what the requirements are, and to then deliver business intelligence solutions. Along with your related experience, the following capabilities will ensure success:
Time management and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Excellent verbal and written communication, including business process documentation and standards writing
Able to quickly comprehend, analyse, define and describe complex business requirements
Self-managed and able to work unsupervised
Experience with BI / Reporting tools SSRS and Power BI
Experience with Data Integration tools SSIS and WhereScape Red
Data modelling and Microsoft SQL Server query skills
Experience with AWS cloud-based technology would be advantageous but not required
