About the role
Our organisation has been on an agile journey, changing how we do things in local government and now we’re ready for an experienced and dynamic Business Intelligence and Data Engineer.
This role sits within the Solution Delivery Team and is focussed on delivering high value business intelligence and data management, providing exceptional service to our stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivery of business intelligence and data management as critical corporate information resources
Acting as consultant for data users and providing analytical guidance on using data to provide business insight
Owner of Data models across all applications and management of Data-marts used for operational reporting / dashboards
Relationship management with key stakeholders that supports informed decision-making and creates value for the organisation.
About you
We are seeking a proactive business intelligence specialist who thrives on challenge, is committed to understanding our Council’s requirements and will deliver effective solutions.
As an innovative and customer-focused technical expert, you will build strong relationships across the business to bring your key stakeholders on a business intelligence learning journey. You will deliver useful, accurate and informative data modelling and analysis to support effective decision-making.
You’ll need to demonstrate:
7+ years’ experience implementing reporting systems, working with users in a requirements analysis role
Extensive use of SQL and RDBMS systems
Extensive experience with data warehouse implementations
Business acumen in utilising business intelligence to inform and drive business effectiveness, value and growth
Degree in computer science, IT or software engineering is desirable.
