Business Intelligence Analyst

12 month fixed-term

An opportunity has arisen within our Corporate and Information Services team for a high performing ICT professional to join our team and work alongside an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst.

The successful applicant will have experience in writing/understanding SQL queries, diagnosing database issues and resolving these issues including re-loading of tables and schemas and extracting data. The role will require at least an intermediate level of knowledge in Extract Transform & Loading (ETL) as well as an understanding of Data warehouse concepts.

The key responsibilities for this position include:

Development and maintenance of Business Intelligence solutions
Data Analysis work with the corporate data proactively providing advice particularly before a problem arises
Providing an SQL reporting service using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Crystal reporting
To participate in projects which may include data migration, data cleansing and advising on SQL as required

The key skills and qualifications required for this role include:

Relevant formal qualification in Business / Computer Science / Information Systems or equivalent relevant work experience
A minimum of 3 years' experience working within an IS organisation using Microsoft technologies
A minimum of 1 years' proven experience of SQL and data warehouse development methodologies
A minimum of 1 years' experience working in an enterprise BI environment
Experience working with reporting and analytics tools (e.g. Microsoft SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Microsoft Power BI etc.)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent analytical skills
Demonstrated experience in SQL Server administration in a similar role
