As a crown research institute, revenue is re-invested in research and equipment to continue ground-breaking science that is useful, useable, and used.The Business Development Manager, International is part of the Business Partnerships Team responsible for shaping and contracting new commercial opportunities and developing new business products, services, commercialisation and partnership arrangements for GNS Science.
Building strong relationships both internally and externally will be critical.
Our Business Development Managers work with Science Management, Scientists, Maori Partnerships, and the wider Commercial and Business Partnerships department to ensure GNS deeply understands and is responsive to commercial client needs, enabling us to strengthen the positive impact and revenue from applying our science to those who benefit from it.ResponsibilitiesHave at least 8 years' experience in business development or a similar market-facing discipline.Experience of partnering with private and public sector enterprises both internationally and in New Zealand to generate revenue, win new work, and diversify revenue streams.Fluency in Japanese is essential due to Asia's growing importance and Japan being a particularly key market for GNS.If you're passionate about science-led solutions to meet client needs, making a tangible and positive impact on some of the most critical issues facing the world, and joining an empowered and committed team, then click on for more information.Why work for GNS Science?Our work helps New Zealanders understand and address climate change, find and use greener energy and better manage the impacts of natural disasters on their homes and communities.People come from all over the world to work for GNS Science.
