About this role

As Business Coordinator you will support the Business Manager to coordinate key business activity. This will include the day-to-day coordination of the directorate's non-operational support functions, and also providing high quality executive and administrative support to the Director/CIO and leadership team.
As a professional coordinator with experience providing administrative support to busy senior leaders and leadership teams you will contribute to the support of finance, travel, training and corporate reporting. You will also coordinate key leadership and directorate-wide meetings, events and functions.
This is a busy role! We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, is flexible, self-motivated and works well under pressure.
Ideally you will bring:
Experience in business administration, diary management and minute taking
Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
The ability to manage competing and changing workloads
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of people at all levels
Strong commitment to providing a high standard of customer service
Some experience in financial management and planning (desirable)
Familiarity with Microsoft products - Word, Excel PowerPoint and Visio

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visaandideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
