Business Analyst (Fixed Term), Transformation Project at Department of Conservation, WellingtonInfluence and identify solutions for improvements across DOCGain exposure to Senior Leadership and a unique organisation-wide viewFixed term/secondment for 12 months; Wellington or HamiltonOur vision: Nature is thriving in Aotearoa | Te Oranga o te Ao TuroaThe Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) serves to protect and restore nature spaces and species across Aotearoa.As an experienced Business Analyst on our Better for Nature transformation programme, your key focus will be on the simplification of the way we work across the organisation.Your role will include:Undertaking business analysis and produce key project documents (current and future state analysis, business requirements, process maps, presentations and reports) to identify needs using both quantitative and qualitative information.Translating business requirements into business solutions, system requirements and specifications for further development.Working collaboratively with teams across DOC, establishing and maintaining strong relationships.Identifying critical issues and risks and ensure they are constructively raised and addressed.Working with key stakeholders, keeping them up to date with timely responses and communicate significant updates business wide.Managing business and system requirements for each assigned project.You'll bring experience as a Business Analyst within a complex enterprise or public sector organisation; and likely have a background in reducing complexity, strategic planning or similar.In addition, you'll offer the following skills and experience:Demonstrated sound business analysis and methodologies, including experience in process mappingStrong, adaptive communication skills - you omit needless words and are sensitive to the information needs of your audience.Able to interpret complex ideas and translate this into usable, concise and clear business requirements and solutions.Delivery focused, you will be well organised and structured, with a coherent and consistent approach to personal work management.Curious and innovative with a willingness to adapt your approach to suit a variety of business working styles.DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
