Work Location: our main base is Tauranga; we also have work sites across the Bay of Plenty!
Hourly rate: $27-$35/hour, depending on your experience
Hours/week: 30-55 hours/week, depending on seasons
About our company
We are TGW Construction Limited, a specialist in Bricklaying and Painting.
Due to business expansion, we are calling for bricklayers to join our team.
What will you do:
Analyzing and interpreting building plans.
Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required.
Measuring distance from reference points.
Calculating angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses.
Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level.
Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.
Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.
Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks.
Requirements
At least one year of experience in the construction industry, specialising in block and bricklaying, is preferred.
Being patient and precise
Being thorough, with good attention to detail
Have thinking and reasoning skills
Able to work well under pressure.
