Brewery Manager – Dna Brewing Ltd

DNA Brewing is a medium sized brewery located within Marlborough Vintners Winery run as a separate business.
It produces its own brand beers and ciders plus contracts brews and packs for other breweries and clients.
It has experienced considerable growth and expansion since commencing production.
An onsite tap room and restaurant opened in December 2022.
We are looking for a new team leader to join us as a Brewery Manager.
This is a hands-on role reporting to the Directors and is suitable for someone with a minimum of 5 years production brewery experience as either a Head Brewer, Production Manager or similar role.
The key responsibilities are: Implement and apply best practice in all aspects of the production of products, keeping records, developing policy and process and overseeing the quality of the product.
Planning of production and packaging schedules, working closely with design, sales, export and events to ensure production delivered to the desired quality level.
Managing brewery maintenance and aiding and assisting in the ordering of new equipment.
Manage and monitor all brewing/cellar/pack activities.
Manage all warehouse and logistics functions.
Manage Health & Safety for yourself and your team and the Brewery as a whole including documenting compliance with plans and quality systems and prevention.
Manage the Food Control Plan.
Lead continuous improvement monitoring and reporting against Key Performance Indicators.
Manage a small team of Brewers and set an example.
Manage all aspects of the team including induction, training and ongoing development building a culture that is consistent with the organisation.
Manage and oversee significant project activities as they arise, including managing the capital expenditure plan.
Work with Contract Clients developing mutually beneficial working relationships.
Participate in the development and implementation of business strategy.
Maintain budgetary accountability for the Brewery.

It is based in Marlborough, New Zealand.
