We are currently recruiting for a Bottle Machine Operator to join O-I at our New Zealand Operation based in Penrose. Working in the hot/cold end of our manufacturing operations and reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for operating our glass forming machines. This is a very hands on role where you will be required to operate in a hot heavy industrial environment, forming the bottles to the required standards, sometimes performing minimal heavy lifting with support from other team members and lifting devices. There is also the requirement to work in the cold end of the plant performing quality and other procedural checks - ensuring our customers and end consumers receive the very best possible glass containers. You will also participate in ongoing continuous improve activities such as but not limited to safety, quality and performance improvement.About you:You will ideally hold extensive experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment, being able to demonstrating a very strong mechanical aptitude. Whilst not essential, workers with a trade background will be looked on favorably. You will be a strong communicator and have the ability to work well under pressure.
