RequirementsResponsibilities: -Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organization. -Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. -Advocate for the needs of individuals living with dementia and their caregivers. -Collaborate with fellow board members and staff to develop and implement initiatives that enhance the quality of life for those affected by dementia. -Foster a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and respect within the organization and the broader community. Desired criteria: -Lived experience with dementia or as a caregiver preferred. -Some governance experience is advantageous. -Understanding of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. -Commitment to promoting good governance practices and ethical leadership. This is a non-remunerated Board position.
