Bike Mechanic

Experienced professional bicycle mechanic required for a senior position in our busy Bike Shop.?
Koops Cycles is a family owned, Local Bike Shop Tauranga in the sunny Bay of Plenty. There are plenty of easy to access trails around the district and beautiful beaches close by offering an ideal lifestyle for our potential new employee.
Your mechanical skill set must include wheel builds and brake bleeding as a bare minimum and ideally you will be competent (and timely) with expert level MTB servicing, Road Bike servicing and E-Bike Servicing. A good track record and a high standard of work is expected.?
Your regular workshop responsibilities include?
New bike builds
MTB custom upgrades?
Diagnosis, servicing and repair work on a multitude of bikes presented to the workshop from our regular customers.
E-Bike repairs
Our ideal candidate would be a people person with strong problem solving skills and the ability to show initiative. Duties extend beyond the workshop, with plenty of customer interaction and fulfilling a sales role when the team requires it.?
You must have a minimum of 2 years mechanic experience to apply.
We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills and a sense of humour.
This is a permanent full time position, offering flexible hours and days including rostered weekends. There will be some variation in hours as the business responds to seasonal customer activity and to cover staff members taking annual leave.?
