Bi Software Engineer

The Digital Services team at Tauranga City Council provide a range of services to the wider organisation, and ultimately, to the community.
We are really passionate about what we do and are looking forward for someone joining us with the same passion and drive in the Business Intelligence team.
The primary responsibility of this role covers Data Warehousing, Reporting and Data Visualisation and a big focus of the role is to gather, store, analyse, report and access crucial data originating from disparate ICT systems and applications so that the visibility of Council business operations from multiple data angles is improved. This will enable greater detail for planning and more informed decision making.
By embracing your passion and experience you will also be expected to collaborate and develop effective relationships with business heads and application users primarily to analyse, understand and document their reporting and visualisation requirements, and ensure that data warehouse development, reports and dashboards are tested and deployed in a timely manner.
To be suitable for this position you will need to have a Tertiary qualification to degree level in Information Technology or equivalent experience, excellent communication skills both verbal and written and be an awesome team player.
The required skills are;
Proven Microsoft Office 365 and Power BI tools experience
Experience in SSAS, SSRS, SSIS and Visual Studio
3 years' experience in Data Analysis and Profiling, Architecture and Data Warehousing
Drivers license
If you have SAP experience based on knowledge of S/4 Hana table structures, sourcing and extracting data and CDS view interpretation using Eclipse for replication of logic that would be an advantage.
