About the team
The Enterprise Services team, as part of the Information Services & Technology division, enables Transpower staff with applications that support our enterprise. Our Data & Analytics tribe nurtures our business intelligence applications, geospatial systems, and operational systems.
In changing to DevOps, we are working towards becoming a more dynamic, agile team that crafts, operates and continually improves robust data and analytics solutions that underpin Transpower's operations and innovation.

About the opportunity
As a BI Developer you'll provide technical expertise in the development and delivery of our BI platform, focusing on both project delivery and day-to-day operations of our Oracle BI stack.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand their Business Intelligence needs, and design and develop solutions that provide improved customer insights and data access.
Your natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge will ensure you are on top of your game, especially when it comes to continuous improvement and smarter ways of working. As someone known for delivering on time and to specification you're at your best when working in large enterprise BI deployments with hundreds of users.

To be considered, your CV and cover letter will clearly demonstrate:
Expertise in data integration approaches such as ETLl, in particular Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
Proficiency working with Oracle and SQL Server databases
Strength in writing SQL and PL/SQL
Skill with query tuning, including indexing strategies
Experience with OBIEE
Exposure to modern BI solutions including Cloud
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience or understanding of working in a multi-functional team and doing what it takes to achieve outcomes whether that be the delivery of new capability or supporting and continuously improving existing functions.
A life-long learner who is receptive to new technologies and techniques.
Not essential but highly regarded:
Understanding of ML / AI ingestion pipelines
Knowledge of Power BI
Recent experience working in an Agile environment
