Full-time, fixed-term until December 2025.About the role - Te kaupapaThere is a growing demand for trained Barbers and to meet this demand WelTec offers training for people to become qualified Barbers as well as training for apprentices working in the industry.Academic quality is the cornerstone of our School, and as such, we are seeking to appoint a Barber with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation who wants to develop themselves as an academic educator and pass on their Barbering skills to our full-time students and trainees from Industry.Key ResponsibilitiesCourse delivery, assessment, and moderationManagement of resources relating to the learning processesRegular progress reportingWorking as a member of an academic teamYou will be supported in this by an experienced team of educators.Experience and QualificationsYou will have at least five years of experience in Barbering and a New Zealand Certificate in Barbering, Level 4 or equivalent.
You should have established contacts within the profession, demonstrated planning and organisational ability, and an ability to relate to youth.
