Backpacker Manager Wanted!!!

Are you stuck in new zealand looking for a managers position???

We will be opening Back up from the RSE Season in the next couple of months and We are looking for a Manager for our hostel!

You will need to be available to start a trial from the 20th of September and will be trained on site to make sure the position is for you! This is a 3-4 month position so we need someone that can commit for that long and also be a superstar!

*** Due to problems with previous staff not being able to enforce our rules without envolving the owner and to make sure everybody stays happy we ask that only people confident in controlling guests should they be breaking any rules😊***
We are a big hostel where people can stay in rooms or in their van or tent.
The evenings in our hostel can get a little busy at times. We have a lot of long- term stayers in our hostel, who work long days on the vineyards and come in after work to pay their rent, change money for the laundry or check in, it will be your job to do the day to day running of the reception. Other tasks include, changing rooms, organizing cleaners, organizing work for the guests and dealing with any problems if they arise.
Your job would be to work from 8.30am-12pm then 14:00 till 19.00 for 4 days during the week
and also 8.30am-7.00pm Saturday and Sunday (this will be subject to change as we are in uncertain times we may not need the office open for such long hours) 😊
We are looking for someone who is:

-quick thinking and not afraid to enforce rules
· Friendly and likes to talk.
· Experienced in cash handling.
· Precise in their work.
· Willing to stay for at least 3 Months.

-Has previous experience in managing a hostel or backpackers this is a must!!

- Respectful and cheerful manner

- Being Fluent in foreign languages in a huge bonus as all of our guests are overseas travelers.
