Backend Devops Engineer

Sharesight www sharesight com is a dynamic fast paced and forwardthinking company building an innovative online investment management platform We have an exciting opportunity available for a senior devops focused backend developer You will need to have a strong foundation in building and scaling publicfacing web applications backed by some solid Ruby on Rails experience You will take a leading role in developing and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment processes as we continue to scale You will be working on a range of tasks including Analysing maintaining and implementing AWS infrastructure to meet business needs as we continue to scale Developing and maintaining our infrastructure provisioning systems along with further streamlining and automating these processes as we grow Monitoring the health of our application and identifying performance bottlenecks Analysing maintaining and improving our deployment processes Developing and maintaining our web application along with external and internal APIs Were looking for A passion for software engineering automation and operations focusing on reliability availability and performance Ruby on Rails experience AWS experience Terraform and Ansible or similar experience Experience building and improving CD CI pipelines A deep understanding of web application security A natural ability to understand complex algorithms Bonus points for Elixir Experience Docker Kubernetes Experience A working knowledge of Datadog Experience in the fintech industry and an understanding of the share market You will be working in our central Wellington office space as part of a small team An attractive salary package is on offer for the right person About Sharesight Aimed at selfdirected investors Sharesight is revolutionising the financial services industry by offering investors smart online software focusing on data portability and connectedness in place of costly bundled solutions Having gained initial traction in the NZ and Australian markets Sharesight is growing rapidly with 100K users across 90 countries
