Be a part of it.About the RoleRocket Lab is seeking an experienced Avionics Fit Out Technician to join our Production Team to assist with vehicle assembly. This position offers a variety of tasks and will require an individual with a wide range of skills.You’ll be building wiring harnesses and avionics equipment for the Electron Launch Vehicle and installing the wire harnesses, avionics equipment and assisting mechanical assembly. All work will need to be of the highest standard as you will be working to aviation airworthiness standards.What we are looking for in an Avionics Fit-Out Technician:6+ years’ experience in avionics/electronicsThe ability to read drawings/schematics/technical documentsExcellent hand skills, handy with crimpers/wire strippers/hand toolsExtremely high levels of attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures diligentlyThe ability to learn quickly and able to work productively without direct supervisionExperienced working under pressure and to tight deadlinesA strong understanding of tool control and the dangers of FODProven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationshipsDesirable SkillsExperience in the manufacturing, automotive or aviation industryAs well as a being a career-defining role, working at Rocket Lab means being part of meaningful projects with world-leading experts.Collaboration is at our core - every idea is heard, and everyone makes a difference.We get things done.
