Automotive Technician / Mechanic

About the opportunity:

Our client is a fun team who loves four wheel drives as much as their customers! They service, repair, and enhance vehicles for the 4WD industry and are looking for an Automotive Technician or Mechanic who really wants to get amongst it all.
Role description:

You will be maintaining, repairing and inspecting cars, light trucks, and other vehicles. Duties include performing emission inspections, diagnostic testing of vehicles and replacement of worn components. You will also work on brakes, engines, steering, and electrical systems.
Responsibilities will include:

Assess condition of vehicles through customer feedback and inspection
Diagnose faults to determine the extent of malfunction
Interpret fault codes from vehicle computers or test drive vehicles
Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles
Repair specific parts of a vehicle i.e. repair, service, adjust or replace brakes
Overhaul / replace generators, alternators distributors, fuel pumps / carburettors
This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

5 years experience as a qualified mechanic
Hard working and passionate about the industry
Good fit for the team, works well with others but can also work alone
Practices and follows health and safety standards
Enjoys the challenge of working on modern vehicles
An honest and reliable work ethic
