McVerry Crawford Motor Group is proud to be a second-generation family business selling and servicing new and used vehicles and providing superior customer service to the Manawatu for over 40 years. We are the principal dealer for Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Renault and Isuzu Utes and service all vehicle makes and models We are looking for a Service Advisor in our Palmerston North Branch with proven background of delivering excellent customer service. Or perhaps you are a technician looking to get off the tools. Wage starts at around $26 + per hour depending on experience and potentially a company car for the right applicant. The main purpose of this job is to enhance our superior front of house / Service advisor team to create a customer first experience for every customer. Hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5.00pm or 8am – 5.30 on a shared roster. Essential skills and attributes required for this role are: A clean, full NZ drivers license with an ability to confidently and legally drive both manual and automatic vehicles of all makes and models An honest and reliable work ethic Good communication skills, both written and verbal A willingness to learn An ability to juggle several things at once and not get flustered A brief summary of what this role looks like is below: Taking bookings and entering them into our DMS Accurately gathering customer information in order to enable right fix first time approach Invoicing of jobs accurately and efficiently Liaising with customers and advising / pricing of work required Assist with customer check ins when dropping of their vehicle for service Assist with keeping car parks clear out front Answer phones and take bookings and invoicing Open lease jobs with the required lease company Pricing/quoting of jobs in next day Updating customers on progress of their vehicle service and or repairs Sending out digital reports (super service Triage) to customers Print off next day R/O's Liaise with shop groomer to make sure all cars are groomed on time Have customer cars out front ready for collection Contacting and rebooking clients when ordered in parts arrive The above constantly evolves over time as we adapt and strive to deliver first class service to our clients This is an extremely busy and fast paced role that will suit someone with a desire to deliver excellence and handle pressure well.
