Purpose of the Role
The Fleet Services unit sits within New Zealand Operations – National Transport and plays a vital role in Fonterra's global success. It’s responsible for optimising the resource allocation and maintenance programmes on over 500 milk collection tankers nationwide and as an Automotive Parts and Inventory Co-ordinator you’ll be pivotal in ensuring this process runs smoothly.
As an Automotive Parts & Inventory Co-ordinator at our Te Awamutu site, reporting to the Purchasing and Inventory Manager for the North Island, you will be an integral member of the Fleet Services Team. This is a role with great variety. While you’ll predominately be office based using your computer skills to accurately manage inventory, create and manage purchase orders, you’ll also be responsible for a range of tasks including pick/packing orders, cycle counting and reconciliation as well as inwards/outwards goods management in our Parts Store.
What you will bring and develop
To be successful in this role you’ll need to be a quick learner and great communicator. You will be someone with the ability to self-manage yet is able to ask for help when they need it. In this role you’ll also need
Experience in a workshop, warehouse or retail environment (Maintenance Repair Overhaul preferable)
Ability to work well with little supervision
Intermediate computer skills (ideally around SAP and Microsoft Excel)
Experience in an inventory role
OSH certified forklift licence and F endorsement (not essential but would be an advantage)
