About us Crowe is part of Findex Australasia s leading provider of financial and accounting services to businesses and individuals We have a comprehensive network of over 110 offices across Australasia located in regional rural and metropolitan areas and a team of over 3 000 principals professionals and support staff We have affiliations to our global network Crowe Global which is ranked amongst the top 10 global audit and accounting networks To our clients we are the relationship that they can count on large enough to offer a range of expertise and skills and small enough to provide the personal touch The Role An exciting opportunity currently exists for a motivated Auditor to join our Audit and Assurance division in Dunedin Our Audit team provides the full breadth of Audit and Assurance services across the country from financial statement audit to risk consulting including service excellence to large middle market businesses and small to medium enterprises As Auditor you will act as one of the primary points of contact with a broad number of clients and will be responsible for managing and completing audit engagements You will work alongside senior Auditors and partners as part of an assigned engagement team on all aspects of an audit engagement Key responsibilities Assist the Engagement manager and partner to plan audit engagements by identifying risks to determine the audit strategy agreeing to the timetable and scheduling activities Assist in preparing business reports and management letters for the client highlighting key issues and recommended actions Establish and nurture positive relationship with existing clients and both key internal and external stakeholders Communicate with clients where required in a timely and professional manner developing a detailed understanding of their business to determine how Findex can best meet their needs Ensure all audit files are completed in line with the Findex Audit Methodology What you need to be successful Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in Accounting At least 23 years of experience in an auditor role Preferably CA or CPA qualified or commenced The ability to problem solve and undertake research of accounting and auditing issues Personable and approachable personality with a real desire to help clients and develop a loyal relationship Solid organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Excellent English written and oral language skills If you think you have the necessary skills and qualifications to be successful in this role we want to hear from you Please note that only successful candidates will be contacted
