What you will doAs the Audit Intelligence Analyst you will provide support to the internal audit team through your data analytics capabilities and insights to enable better efficiency.Additionally you will:
Assist the Manager and Senior analyst to establish and deliver a fit for purpose audit data analytics capability and imbed its use in the internal audit function;
Contribute to the design and implementation of a new continuous monitoring programme;
Provide data-driven support and services to fraud investigations led by other NZDF units;
Be a part of developing a cohesive investigation response model, with other NZDF areas, and providing, support to fraud investigations led by other NZDF units where needed.
What we needThe ideal person for this role will be someone who has an inquisitive and analytical mind-set and carries out their work with excellent attention to detail. You will deliver your analytical findings with precision.To succeed in this role you will:
Be familiar with SQL, ACL, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and other Business Intelligence Tools;
Be effective in building and maintaining successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Be able to communicate complex technical information into user friendly dialogue;
Have a minimum of 4 years professional experience, with 2 of those years’ being in a specific data analytics, modelling or intelligence role. Within a large, complex organisation or professional services firm is desirable;
Have completed a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science, preferably with Mathematics, Accounting, Finance or Business.
Who we areThe NZDF Internal Audit function provides the Chief of Defence Force, and the Risk and Assurance Committee, with an objective assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of processes and procedures employed by management to both identify, and manage risk. The function operates as the Third Line of Assurance within the NZDF Risk Management Framework and, in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, provides independent and objective assurance to the Chief of Defence Force and executive management.Every hour of every day, 365 days of the year, the New Zealand Defence Force is contributing to the defence, security and well-being of Aotearoa / New Zealand.
