What You Will Do
We invite applications for this unique combined continuing position of Associate Professor/Professor and Director of the Master of Engineering in Management (MEM) programme in our dynamic, world class, and growing Department.
You will be motivated to develop and maintain a vigorous research programme in areas appropriate to your expertise, in collaboration with other researchers and research groups, and particularly New Zealand industry partners.
The Department has a specific need to appoint a Director for the Master of Engineering in Management (MEM) degree programme, which will be based within the Department and as such, will be a key responsibility of this Academic role. You will therefore be conducting research in a relevant area, for example, one or more of the following; engineering management, project management, environmental resources, sustainability in engineering or product/manufacturing management. You will also provide some teaching into this Master’s degree and a range of other associated subjects at undergraduate level (including engineering ethics, sustainability, standards, and contracts/commissioning). Your primary administrative role will be in the directorship/management of the MEM programme.

Existing research collaborations are also active with a number of other Universities and research institutes in New Zealand and from around the world. As the MEM programme Director, you will also be working with people from all engineering departments at UC, as graduate students from any engineering programme may continue their studies with the MEM.
