We unify customer experience across physical and digital channels, build and deliver products where technology meets our customers across web, app, and retail.The Kaihoahoa Wheako Kaipakihi Associate Experience Designer role works as a part of the broader Design team, with a focus on customer research and communicating customer insights internally.
You'll be collaborating closely with web developers, product managers, business analysts, and content designers to craft seamless, user-focused experiences.
You'll contribute design thinking across the product lifecycle, helping teams bridge the gap between business goals and user needsYou Will Have The Opportunity ToWork closely with internal system users and other creatives to bring ideas to life through facilitated workshops, ideation sessions, and co-design activities.Create customer journey maps and service blueprints to ensure all design efforts are grounded in customer insight and business strategy.Applying design thinking methodologies and leading user research initiatives to identify customer pain points, needs, and opportunities across digital touchpoints.Advocate for customer empathy at every stage of the design process, using qualitative and quantitative research to guide design decisions and improve usability.Collaborate with the Web and Product teams to align user experience with product goals, ensuring that solutions are not only desirable but also feasible and viable.Iterating on design solutions based on user testing, stakeholder feedback, and data analytics to deliver accessible, inclusive, and high-performing digital experiences.What you'll bring to Z:Experience in a UX or UXR role, ideally within an agile, digital focus organisation.Familiar with human-centred design, and experience apply HCD thinking to digital productsExperience in planning and conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design improvements.Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.An understanding of customer empathy and the role it plays in creating meaningful, accessible user experiences.And of course, you'll be passionate about what matters to Z, embracing and living our values to help us deliver on our aspirations and broader commitment to Aotearoa New Zealand.Don't meet every single requirement?
