We are looking for an experienced and dedicated midwife to join our senior team as Associate Clinical Midwife Manager (ACMM).Fixed-term, part-time role covering parental leave until 19th May 2025.As the successful candidate you will be an experienced midwife who has the clinical and organisational skills to the work both in our Birthing Suite and Maternity Ward.The role rotates between both areas of our facility.QLP leadership and a commitment to working towards a post graduate qualification in this leadership role will be supported. Complex care is also an advantage as are any other postgraduate papers.This role requires you to work as an experienced midwife within our multidisciplinary team, coordinating clinical care, flow of women and their babies through our service and clinical support of staff so they can provide the level of midwifery care to women and their babies that is required in a secondary/ tertiary maternity hospital. Confidence to make decisions in the after hours management of the unit with support from the on call manager is an integral aspect of this role. Outside of normal business hours the role of the ACMM is that of duty manager for the Women's Hospital. Christchurch Women's Hospital sits on the Christchurch Hospital campus. This role also supports some of the transfers in from the secondary maternity units that transfer to us as well as the CDHB community maternity units.High levels of experience and confidence clinically in a secondary/ tertiary maternity environment.
