Farmers Te Rapa is searching for a retail extraordinaire to be our next Assistant Store Manager. You will work alongside the Assistant Store Manager of Operations where the two of you will play an integral part of creating a highly successful senior management team who report directly to the Store Manager.
As the Assistant Store Manager specialising in Sales and Service you will be responsible for leading our experienced Department Managers and our sales team. As an experienced retail expert we know that you'll bring a wealth of knowledge with you and to set you up for success, we will provide you with a structured training programme to support you as you learn all about our business and way of operating.
We'll expect you to identify areas and opportunities for improvement, drive a culture of world class customer service through your management team and take the business forward through expert leadership. You'll play a key role in setting the direction required to enable great performance, not to mention develop and encourage the same commercial focus in your Department Managers.
So what else will you need?
Previous experience managing large teams, or in multi-site/cluster management
A proven history of driving sales and delivering results through coaching and inspiring your sales teams
Strong communication skills both written and verbally, including the ability to deliver sales training programmes
Experience with change management is an advantage
Great organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to effectively meet deadlines
This role is all about motivating and inspiring your managers and team to provide an outstanding customer experience. Passion and knowledge of fashion, homewares and lifestyle categories are a must. You'll have an expert eye for detail, know what is trending in retail and how to provide an outstanding customer experience through visual merchandising and leading from the front.
