Rosewood Matakauri are looking for a highly motivated, passionate leader to join the Food & Beverage team as an Assistant Restaurant Manager.Reporting to the Restaurant & Bar Manager, you will have an effective presence on the floor, ensuring that restaurant and bar services are seamlessly delivered and training our team to meet our world-class fine dining standards.About the roleYou will be responsible for ensuring that all restaurant operations are run efficiently.
Key responsibilities will be:Assist in managing the daily operations and help deliver the best guest experienceLead and mentor the Restaurant team alongside the Restaurant Manager and help shape a collaborative cultureImplement and maintain operational standards, ensuring efficient delivery of the highest standards of serviceAssist in the management of the team when required, including rosters, daily briefings, recruitment, and onboardingLiaise with other departments in the hotel on a daily basis to ensure smooth operationsThe successful candidate will haveA background in fine dining and wine service is essentialPrevious senior level Food and Beverage experience in boutique lodges or 5-star propertiesStrong beverage and wine knowledgeAbility to train a team of mixed skill levelsImpeccable personal groomingKnowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systemsStrong and effective communication skillsAbility to work accurately in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentReliable, honest, and engaged with excellent attention to detailThe right applicant must be self-motivated, a team player, and able to work well in a high-pressure environment.Due to our beautiful remote location, you will need to have a reliable transport option and a valid working visa or work rights to apply.
