About the role
We are looking for a dedicatedAssistant Accountantto join the team full-time atMilton. You will prepare end of month financial reports, assisting with the preparation and lodgement of statutory returns, maintaining the asset register and administering credit card and other reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare timely and accurate end of month financial reports for Act for Kids controlled entities.
Assist with the timely and accurate preparation and lodgement of statutory returns including BAS, IAS, income tax and Workcover for Act for Kids controlled entities.
Maintain and update asset register and depreciation schedules for the Act for Kids group of companies.
Assist with the processing of payroll and superannuation transactions as required.
Administer the Promaster system, ensuring that credit card and petty cash transactions are reviewed and reconciled in a timely manner.

About you....
A tertiary Accounting qualification is essential.
Completion of the CA or CPA Program or working towards same.
At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
Current knowledge of accounting standards, principles and practice.
Current knowledge of GST, PAYG and income tax legislation.
A high level of competency using accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications.
