Horizon Energy Group Limited, based in Whakatane is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant.
Horizon Energy Group Limited provides the Corporate Services to the Horizon Energy Group whose parent is an electricity distribution Company, based in Whakatane. In addition the Group owns and operates an electrical contracting and infrastructure construction business, in multiple locations, and a nationwide heating, ventilation, cooling and refrigeration construction and servicing business, and also operates in the South Pacific. You will join a focused, friendly and supportive team of professionals committed to being successful through continuous improvement in an ideal location.
Working within the Finance team you will provide support to the Group Senior Reporting Accountant and the Group Risk & Reporting Manager for the Horizon Energy Group. The role will give you exposure to a range of accounting and risk management tasks.
The successful candidate will either hold or be working towards an accounting qualification and preferably have 3 plus years' previous experience within a commercial business.
They will also have the following requirements:
A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
A high level of computer skills, in particular in Excel
Excellent time management skills
Works well under pressure
Be self-motivated and proactive
Give attention to detail
Be deadline focused
Current Unrestricted NZ Driver Licence
