About Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities
Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities, brings together the three existing agencies of Housing New Zealand, HLC and KiwiBuild to form a new organisation.
Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities is central to the Government's aspirations for housing and urban development. It will work across the housing spectrum to build thriving communities where everyone has a place to call home.
This new organisation will have two key roles - being a public housing landlord, and partnering with the development community, iwi, local and central government to deliver urban development projects of all sizes.

Our Asset Management Group
The Asset Management team ensures Housing's national $21 billion asset portfolio is effectively managed to meet strategic targets. The team is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of the portfolio, managing the upgrade, configuration and divestment of assets, minimising vacancies and maximising portfolio utilisation.
The role
Our vision is 'Building lives and communities by housing New Zealanders'. To help us achieve this we are currently recruiting for an Asset Manager. This role reports to the Regional Portfolio Manager and is responsible for the overall management for an assigned portfolio in the Region and ensure their physical and financial performance meets agreed targets and standards in order to protect and improve the overall quality of our assets.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:Background in the management of property assets
Understanding of analysing and interpreting financial and technical information
Experience in undertaking options analysis and report writing
Ability to identify risks and resolve complex issues
Exceptional influencing and communication skills
Relevant Property Management or Valuation qualifications
