A role has become available in our Asset Management & Infrastructure Planning team within our Infrastructure & Asset Management group. We are looking for someone who can manage our 3 waters assets being Water, Wastewater and Stormwater, across the far north.
Providing affordable infrastructure for our communities is our ultimate challenge and part of your role is ensuring feasibility studies, scoping of business cases and engagement of core infrastructure initiatives across 3 waters happens. The work you undertake will ensure we’re making the best infrastructure investment decisions for our communities. This is a real opportunity to influence how we realise our District Vision, with a real emphasis on addressing affordability and delivering affordable core infrastructure.
I a koe– About You
It goes without saying that you’ll have a Bachelor of Engineering / CPEng or equivalent engineering qualification with several years’ experience in a similar role. Some of your core responsibilities are;
At least five years’ experience in Water Services (potable water, waste water, storm water) including design, operation and commissioning
To manage Council’s water, wastewater and stormwater assets in a responsible and sustainable manner developing asset assessment and management plans as key documents
Develop Business Cases and briefs for future capital projects while considering funding implications thereof
Ownership, update and implementation of a Living Asset Management Plan (LAMP) improvements program, and performance monitoring of LAMP outcomes
Management of asset condition assessment programs and development of renewals programs
Development of Capital and renewal programmes to inform Annual and Long-Term Plans
Knowledge of the Resource Management Act and being familiar with New Zealand local government legislation, practices and standards relevant to the 3 waters activities is preferable. Your skills will include having a keen “eye for detail” and a passion for problem solving.
