Explore more on Cubic.com.Job DetailsJob Title: Asset Management OfficerJob Summary: This role is responsible for the overall integrity of Cubic's inventory, managing the receipt, safe storage and issuance of inventory to meet demand.
This position typically works under general supervision and direction.
Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesManage and optimize a portfolio of assets, ensuring maximum value and returns.Monitor asset performance and recommend strategies for improvement.Identify and assess risks related to asset ownership, including financial, operational, and compliance risks.Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.Ensure all assets are insured adequately and manage claims if incidents occur.Conduct regular audits to verify asset conditions and update records.Prepare reports for stakeholders, detailing asset performance and any recommended changes.Receive, transfer and issue inventory as per operating procedures, including manual handling of incoming and outgoing goods and timely data entry into Cubic systems.Organize stock locations to optimize space utilization.Accurately maintain the Stores kit status data register.In conjunction with the Purchasing Team, actively pursue part shortages where necessary.Maintain high level of accuracy and efficiency when carrying out material requests or kitting to ensure items/kits are ready to meet rapid prototyping, repair and production workload.Pick and pack parts ready for shipment, ensuring all paperwork and processes required for shipments are completed accurately, adhering to any applicable exports compliance.Process Return to Vendor (RTV) goods received either faulty or not to specification from vendor.Conduct audits of stock as required.Manage and control the storage of golden samples in accordance with policy.Ensure integrity of rechargeable batteries stock by carrying out recharging process at required prescribed periods.Maintain and order packaging as required, e.g.
pallets, wooden cases, shrink-wrap & bubble wrap.Manage and control consumable goods and items of limited shelf life, ensuring they are removed from stock on expiry date and First In First Out (FIFO) is applied on all consumable materials.Apply continuous improvement activities to meet or exceed targets.Conduct Bill of Material (BOM) reviews based on demand to manufacture and assess stock availability.Create service orders and add component demand.Track and update the Engineering Release Authorisation (ERA) register as required.Execute the shipment of exports both domestically and internationally by following operating procedures ensuring correct paperwork is provided and systems updated.Maintain the shipping register in excel for reporting and auditing purposes.Liaise with both internal and external parties regarding shipping requirements.Support receiving, transferring and issuing of inventory as per operating procedures when required.Other admin tasks as required.General Duties And ResponsibilitiesComply with Cubic's Quality Management System.Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.Ensure own health and safety and that of others by following all rules and procedures, reporting and managing all hazards in the work area and actively contributing to, and participating in, company health and safety initiatives.Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisation.Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures.Other duties as requested.QualificationsMinimum Job Requirements:EssentialExperience in Asset Management.ITIL Certification.Skills/Experience/KnowledgeEssential:5 years' experience in an inventory control / Stores or dispatch environment.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.Thorough understanding of current Stores procedures and processes.Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.Resilient and versatile.Excellent attention to detail.Good Excel skills / computer literacy and previous use of online inventory tracking systems.Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.Highly motivated to do a good job with the ability to multi-task with high levels of energy.A team player who thrives in a close team environment.CompetenciesLiving One Cubic: Identifies with the larger organisation and their role within it, shares resources, responds to requests from other parts of the organisation, supports larger organisational initiatives and sees them as more important than local or personal goals.Ethics & Compliance: Demonstrates high level of trust and respect for others and maintains compliance with Cubic's policies, mission and values.Communication: Expresses information clearly, transparently, and disseminates appropriately in a timely manner.Results: Effectively balances and prioritises time and projects to meet deliverables and drive continuous improvement.Winning the Customer: Seeks to understand customer needs and challenges, works effectively with customers to resolve issues, provides exceptional service and deliverables that exceed customer expectations.Innovation: Applies information, imagination and initiative to identify efficiencies, implement improvements and drive growth.Accountability: Takes personal responsibility for all work activities and actions; follows through on commitments and adheres to deadlines; implements decisions that have been agreed upon; acknowledges and learns from mistakes without blaming others; early transparency about risks and issues; recognises the impact of one's behaviour on others and the company.Condition Of EmploymentSuccessful outcome of a National Police Check.Full Drivers Licence.The description provided above is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties, responsibilities and requirements.
