Response is a busy tight-knit graphic design studio, based north of Melbourne CBD, seeking an experienced Art Director/Creative Director to join our team. We have a varied portfolio of FMCG, Industry, HR clients. Projects include packaging, brand strategy, print/online advertising, web design, corporate identity etc both national and global.
Following the herd is not you. You are fascinated by the continual evolution of a products development, be it packaging, advertising or in the digital landscape. You are a problem solver, quick with design concepts and strategies that have instant WOW factor. You are prolific, ideas bubble out of you. You have the ability to understand and work with a clients product. Help them articulate their messages to their customers and then translate them into identity and creative that is breakthrough and compelling.

Responsibilities:
Ensuring that our high quality of creative and production is upheld, maintaining consistently high standards for yourself and others on the team
Delivering strategic communication solutions that help our clients attain their marketing and communications objectives
Collaborating and contributing to the creative process as a leader of a creative team.
Leading and coordinating the unified process of marketing/ concept/ design and post-production execution
Make creative and strategic decisions on a daily basis that ensure both profitability and creative quality
Superior understanding of the packaging medium both on a design and production level
Superior understanding of advertising and marketing principles
Superior problem solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and persuasion skills
Through research, able to demonstrate a sound understanding of clients business/industry/product
Excellent presentation skills
Thorough understanding of art direction, eg briefing designers, finished artists, web dev, photographers, stylists, illustrators etc
Excellent communication, planning, time-management and follow-through skills
Excellent knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator, strong Photoshop skills and experience in digital programs, HTML skills an advantage
Excellent verbal & written communications skills, including strong spelling & grammar, copy editing
