About the role

Our client is looking for a personable and committed Area Sales Manager to join their Out of Home business (OOH) to successfully lead the Wellington and the surrounding regions (some travel will be required).

Reporting directly to the Southern Regional Business Manager, this role is responsible for driving sales growth, new business acquisition, managing distributor and customer relationships for this fun and growing global brand.

This role is full time, 1-year fixed term with the scope to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

Explore ways to grow existing business in current and new customers
Maintain and build strong relationships with key customers by conducting regular visit at specified frequency
Management of the distributor network and deliver the execution standards in field through solid planning and communication
Bi-annual business reviews with key accounts and ensure delivery of customer specific annual business plan
Execute a minimum of 80 field calls per month
Net customer base and sales growth in key product area’s
Robustly manage assets deployed in market through quarterly sales/throughput analysis and removing/upgrading where required
Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

Strong sales hunter with a proven record in Account Management & Business Development
Excellent relationship manager who is skilled at getting the best out of people
2-5 years sales experience in FMCG or related industry, preferably in route or out of home
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to compete on areas other than price
Experience working autonomously and well developed time management skills
Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Suite (including PowerPoint) and CRM system
Possess a clean NZ full Driver’s License
A tertiary qualification in business or a related field is highly desirable, but not essential
