Lynn River is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated company located in the South Island town of Geraldine. Established in 1969, we have grown to become a leading supplier of hand and personal protection products in Australia and New Zealand.
We are looking for an Area Manager to manage our hardware and rural merchant customer base, covering the mid to lower area of the North Island. This role reports into the Consumer Channel Manager and your role is to build strong business relationships with existing customers ensuring that sales growth targets are achieved whilst ensuring that you are providing timely and strategic product advice. This opportunity would suit someone who has proven sales experience ideally where they have worked in an environment that is long term relationship and results focused. There is flexibility around the home location of the appointee.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing multilevel relationships with clients from product supply, marketing through to distribution
Cross selling across the different product lines to existing and new clients
Working towards budgets and KPI's and always striving for excellence
Being market savvy and identifying new products that could be beneficial to the business
Working collaboratively with internal resources and different business units to achieve desired outcomes
You will have:
The ability to work autonomously in a target driven environment
Strong relationship management skills to develop long standing partnerships
The ability to deliver consultative recommendations whilst specifying products appropriately
Above average time management skills and are process orientated
A strong technical background understanding the different product range on offer
Well-developed negotiation skills with the ability to clarify goals
The ability to think outside the square and ultimately deliver results
