The Midland Cancer Network is seeking an applications support analyst to support an exciting new initiative which is the development, configuration and implementation of a Midland Cancer Clinical Pathway and Multi-Disciplinary Meeting (MDM) Management System. Initially, this will be developed for lung and colorectal cancer and then rolled out to all other tumour streams across Midland DHBs.The role also supports the Midland cancer work programme through the use of a solid evidence data based approach for decision making to support health system transformation; provide analytical advice and support including data extraction and querying to provide information for faster cancer treatment, bowel screening, service planning and/or change, demand and capacity modelling, indicator reporting, forecasting, benchmarking and audit.This position is based in Hamilton. The person we are looking for needs to have:
appropriate tertiary qualification and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
knowledge, technical skills and experience with databases and software applications.
previous experience in an analyst role.
experience working in the health sector (desirable).
demonstrated application of specialist analysis tools, using a range of software to an advanced or expert level.
