Recreational Services is on a journey to make our use of technology a differentiator in the industry. As we move into cloud-based technologies, we are looking for a software developer, who is passionate about the cloud journey.
Reporting to the ICT Manager, your role will be to support legacy systems, while being a key contributor in the design and development of quality software that delivers great customer experience.
Essential Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:
IT Graduate with at least two years’ experience as a software developer
SQL Server 2012+: Must have experience in creating normalized schemas, stored procedures, functions and views. Must know how to use and configure synonyms and linked servers. And must have working knowledge on how to run SQL Traces to troubleshoot issues.
Developed skills in appropriate software development languages, frameworks, and technologies (e.g. VBA, .NET/C#).
Experience in RESTful API / API design and implementation
Experience working in a virtualised environment (e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V, Docker)
Be customer-focused, with a great work ethic, as well as a team player
Good written and oral communications.
Solid troubleshooting ability and skills.
Highly desirable skills and experience:
Project Management Experience
Experience in test methodologies
Process development
Experience with or knowledge of Git and automated deployment systems
Sys Admin Scripting experience
An understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Experience with cloud computing platforms, AWS in particular
