Great role, to join a highly capable Applications team to support users and the business on day to day performance of all applications.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, team player that has a blend of analytical skills as well as good customer engagement skills. The business applications team provides Level 2 Application support to the users of all systems across this large enterprise environment.

You will handle calls / requests from users, establish the issues they are facing in regards to the Applications and look to triage appropriately. You will review reporting from the monitoring tools that they have, to track application performance and get ahead of any issues.

Any applications based calls will be directed from the Service Desk to this team. You will be involved in P1 and P2 issues and escalate Level 3 support to the Development team. From there you will need to communicate technical information to the users and manage the response as and when required.

We're looking for a highly analytical and personable candidate that has a base knowledge on technology through application support. You'll need to be a team player. This role sits within a team of 8 other Applications Support Specialists- so the ability to share knowledge and work collectively to manage the workload as well as share the responsibility of being on-call on a 4-6 week rotation. From a tech stack perspective, you'll have a basic understanding of SQL, and any Oracle exposure would be highly advantageous.

In return, you will be given plenty of hands of training for the applications as well as given all the tools required to do the role. This highly engaged organisation believes in flexible working and remote working as well. This will be required as you will need to help manage workloads during P1 incidents.
