About the role
The ANZ Quality & Environmental (Q&E) Manager will provide leadership for the implementation of Stantec’s Quality & Environmental strategy and be responsible for the overall management of the ANZ Integrated Management System (IMS), which includes the three following ISO certifications:
ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management

ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System

ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System

Day to day tasks would involve:
Working with a global team and standards, advise, guide, coach and support the ANZ operations and employees in the application of the ANZ Integrated Management System (IMS).

To be the expert who will work with the ANZ business in promoting and enhancing our Q&E culture and systems.

To update and maintain the key policies, manuals and documents associated with Q&E.

To be the main contact person with the External Auditing contractor who will provide auditing and certification services to ANZ operations.

To assist the business leaders in understanding their role and obligations as the ‘owners’ of Q&E.

Conduct a select number of internal audits and provide training to maintain the required level for others carrying out internal auditing.

Be the primary contact for our external auditor/s and liaise with them on the annual audit schedule.

Communicate the schedule and support the respective countries/offices to be prepared for external audit visits.

Follow up on the results and obligations resulting from the audits.

Conduct meetings and training related to Stantec’s objectives.

Provide project support and assistance as required.

Qualifications:
To be successful for this role you'll need:
A recognised industry qualification, 8+ years’ experience in an engineering, environmental sciences and/or project management consulting environment coupled with the understanding of working in a global matrixed Professional services firm.
In-depth experience with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, or equivalent is a must.
Your ability to influence will be as important as your technical skills, this role will see you working across Australia & New Zealand. Working closely with key internal clients across numerous geographic locations and time zones.
Your own self-management skills will be as important as your technical skills. You will need to be able to prioritise workloads whilst maintaining strong working relationships with your internal clients and your colleagues local and across the wider Stantec Global team.
