LABTEC provides a range of testing and laboratory services including independent analysis of agrichemicals, veterinary medicines, nicotine in vaping products and methamphetamine in environmental samples.Description:About The RoleLABTEC is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our team in Auckland and provide technical and scientific support for a diverse range of testing capabilities and R&D work.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality control - adhere to all quality control requirementsContinuous improvement - plan and perform method development and validation for new methods and productsPreparation and analysis - prepare samples for analysis using appropriate analytical techniques such as HPLC, LCMS, MP-AES, GC-FID or XRFClient services - approve results and finalise client reports ensuring high quality results, accurate information and deadlines are metAll documentation is completed accuratelyMonitor instrument performance and maintenanceActively engage with Workplace Health, Safety & Environment proceduresSkills and Experiences:About YouThe ideal candidate will have:3 or more years of relevant experience in an ISO or GMP laboratoryA minimum of BSc in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or related subjectExperience with wet chemical analysisHands on experience with Instrumental techniques such as HPLC, GC, MP-AES, XRFGood verbal and written communication skillsHave the ability to meet tight deadlines & work under pressureBe reliable & self-motivatedBe a team playerUnderstanding of ISO 17025 and IANZ criteriaPassion for continuous improvementDemonstrated understanding of chemical safetyKnowledge of Veterinary Medicine/Agricultural Chemicals sectorAt Envirolab Group, you'll be part of a supportive team environment led by industry experts.
